The Inspiring Art event, kindly hosted by Castle Fine Art, took place yesterday. The event was organized to raise funds for The Prince's Trust.

I'm very pleased about the money raised (£1750) by my donation, Lot 17, St Look Square, acrylic on canvas , 51 x 71cm. There were a total of 25 lots and I was particularly excited by a print by Sir Peter Blake and another by Pierce Brosman.

In addition there were 22 art pieces created specially for Inspiring Art. In August, 22 artists, some of whom were helped by The Prince's Trust, were sent a blank canvas and asked to create a piece on the subject of 'inspiration'. The artist behind in piece remained anonymous until the piece was sold. I was happy to recognize two artists whom I have exhibitied along with at The Other Art Fair, Loz Atkinson and Zanny Mellor.

There was a speach by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, who introduced two young Ambassadors of The Prince's Trust. They told their remarkable stories of the positive impact The Prince's Trust made in their lifes.

People were given ipads like device to bid silently. Their bid showed in two screens and it was rather exciting to see the progress of the bidding.

All in all, a wonderful night! Thank you to The Prince's Trust.
