• 2016 Summer Exhibition | Royal Academy of Arts

I'm delighted to announce that my painting 'To Touch or Not to Touch I' has been selected to take part in the Summer Exhibition 2016 at the Royal Academy of Arts.

It's the first time I've been selected so I'm particularly excited about it and I really look forward to enjoying the experience of attending the Varnishing Day Reception and the Private View.

The Summer Exhibition has a tradition of 248 years and is famous for being the world’s largest open submission with 12000 applications each year. The final selection shows art of all mediums and a remarkable mixture of emerging artists and household names.

As in previous years, most works will be for sale, giving you the opportunity to own original artworks by leading artists of today and tomorrow. And, crucially, proceeds allow to continue providing, free, world-class postgraduate tuition in the RA Schools.

This year's coordinator is Richard Wilson RA, leading British sculptor and Royal Academician. The hanging committee for the Summer Exhibition includes Royal Academicians Stephen Chambers, Louisa Hutton, Bill Jacklin, Jock McFadyen, David Mach, Cathie Pilkington, David Remfry, Ian Ritchie and Bill Woodrow.
